Landfill Methane Estimated Ratings Framework

Landfill management (LFM) projects reduce greenhouse gas emissions by capturing and destroying the methane released as organic waste decomposes. Credits are issued for the methane destroyed instead of being released to the atmosphere. Version 1.0 of projects that combine flaring with energy production. An Estimated Rating is an indicative range, such as A–BBB, derived from a limited set of material data points in public project documentation. It is not reviewed by a Ratings Committee, not monitored and produced without developer engagement.
